What type of photos will work best for my design?

The best photos are unedited and come straight from your camera. When taking digital photos set your camera to the highest quality setting. Do not compress your photos to send them over e-mail- leave them in the large file from your camera. Photos around 2100 pixels wide are ideal.

Do you have any photo taking tips?

Natural light is typically superior to flash photography so try to take your photos when you have plenty of daylight. Dress your child in plain clothes (no busy patterns) or leave infants in a diaper. Be conscious of the background- if you can set up a mini studio in your house with a sheet or blanket, that tends to work out nicely! The beauty of digital photography is that you can take a ton of photos without it costing anything so don't be afraid to keep snapping away until you find a few that you like! Here is a nice tutorial that I found.... Taking better photos.

If I don't have digital photos is there a way to still order from BJO?

Absolutely! You can either scan your photos in and e-mail them to me (use the highest quality setting on your scanner) OR you can snail mail them to me. If you want your photos back, please include a SASE.

Is the photo quality the same on the card stock cards vs photo paper?

Designs printed on card stock are not printed like photographs, they are printed on a state of the art digital printing press; therefore the look is slightly different than with designs printed on photo paper. The photo quality is similar to what you see in magazines.

How long does the design process take?

If you are good about checking your e-mail and communicating back and forth with me the design process typically only takes 24-48 hours.

How long until I receive my cards?

Approximately 5-7 business days from the time you pay.

How do I pay?

Once you approve your proof you will receive an invoice requesting that you pay via www.paypal.com Make payments to lindsay@bellajackson.com

Can you edit my photos? How much does this cost?

Absolutely! Your photos can be edited for things like redeye, baby acne, scratches, blemishes and so on. Your photos can also be changed from color to black and white or sepia. This service is completely FREE of charge.

Do I have to pay for proofs or pay to make changes?

No, you will receive an unlimited amount of proofs until you are 100% satisfied with your design.

Do I have to have photos on my design?

Although we specialize in custom designs featuring photographs, I would be happy to help you design a card that does not include photographs. Baby shower invitations for a shy mom-to-be is a perfect example of this! : )

Will there be a logo on my cards?

There will be NO logo on the front of any card that you order through BJO. Designs on photo paper will have a small label on the back with the Bella Jackson web address. 2-sided card stock and folded cards will have "designed by www.bellajackson.com" printed very small in a coordinating color on the back.
